Please format your submission according to the attached stylesheets for patterns and cases.Guidelines for shepherding1. Initial submissions:For initial submissions we are seeking coordinated contributions that include patterns supported by case-stories. These can be individual submissions for example a pattern/s supported by a case-story or a joint/group submission where person A produces the case-story, and person B provides the associated pattern. We strongly encourage the use of images (with appropriate copyright clearance) to help illustrate both patterns and case-stories.Accepted patterns and cases will undergo a shepherding process (see Section 3 below) and we therefore do not necessarily expect to receive highly polished cases and patterns during the initial submission round. The deadline for initial submissions is: July 31, 2009. 2. Format and templates:(see note on attributions page)2.1 Case-story format:Expected length: 1500 to 2000 words Please follow the case story template here. See guidance presentations at: http://www.slideshare.net/yish/case-study-how-to-presentation and http://www.slideshare.net/yish/star-case-study-template 2.2 Patterns format:Expected length: 1500 to 2000 words Please follow the design pattern template here. See guidance presentations at: http://www.slideshare.net/yish/stories2patterns-presentation Please see the 'book draft' page for links to examples of case and patterns. 3. Review, response, shepherding:After receiving your contribution, the editors will review the submission and decide whether the case-story and pattern should go into the shepherding process. If your submission is accepted for shepherding, your section editor will provide feedback on your work over a series of iterations. This process, as well as helping develop the case-stories and patterns, will be aimed at creating cohesion across the patterns submitted and involve peer review and cross-referencing of patterns and case-stories as appropriate.
